What is the meaning of life? I love dancing so really the meaning to my life is dance. It may seem superficial, and it is of course, but I don’t know the answer, and I don’t feel in a position to even contemplate that question at a serious or insightful level, nor do I feel capable of pondering such theories. I guess I’d imagine that scientists or philosophers are the ones who do that but how do they know? Is it subjective, or is it a mechanical answer or solution that can be studied and theorised and hypothesised until the answer eventually falls out, like a mathematical equation that can be tried and tested?

There are seven billion people on Earth now, and if the majority are in similar positions as me personally with a superficial meaning to their life, be that dancing or surfing or money or children or partying or whatever. Who are these elusive men and women who we are expecting to be contemplating the big theories that affect each and every one of us?

Everybody seems to run with a few theories that have been prophesised through history. Like Plato and Socrates, and mostly Darwin but really is that all there is? What is it about these men that made them different? Made them able or willing or maybe just concerned more with the real questions, to allow them to solved them? Was is where they grew up, their parents or family. Was it their education? Well presumably to a degree considering Socrates taught Plato and Plato was so revolutionary a famous quote claims that all thinking or theories since his time are merely footnotes to his famous work.

How small is my and everybody else’s world’s when we consider that what is immediately in front of us and the small world we have created to be THE world! Maybe those great thinking men simply looked beyond, were considerate or intelligent enough to look beyond the short horizon most of have created or imagined or contained ourselves within!

Sure I can ask these questions and wish I could push my boundaries, open up my horizons but I don’t feel that I am qualified and I don’t know if pondering the great questions of our time requires academic qualifications or more innate qualifications, qualification you are born with and can’t quantify-More natural and soul driven qualifications? Whether what is hindering my ability is my ego or my level of intellect or the depth of my consciousness? I don’t know how you know or how you change so you can at least attempt to know, but I do know I don’t know what the meaning of life is, or how to find out.
